What is the STEM in Schools Initiative?

Help! Masego and Meta are twins living in Botswana. They love animals and want to help protect them. They are calling on the children of the world to help them build a catapult that can launch elephant poo at anyone threatening to hurt the animals in their local nature reserve. Your challenge is to build a prototype catapult that is accurate and can reach the longest distance you can - record your distance and send it to the scientists at The Curiosity Box to see if you've got the furthest so far!

Make a difference

58% of primary schools in the UK teach less than the recommended 2 hours of science each week with 10% teaching no science on a weekly basis. With an increasing STEM skills gap, we want to partner with businesses to support enjoyment of STEM from an early age. Join us and be part of the change.
